Price, floor plan and free units on screen: why buyers no longer want to wait for a PDF
Buyers want to see the price, the floor plan and which units are free, right away, on their phone. In many developments, they still get a PDF price list on WhatsApp and wait. Here is what changes when it all goes online.
Think of someone who wants to buy a home before it is built. They open the development’s website on their phone. They tap the unit that caught their eye. Right away, they see the price, the size, the floor plan, where the sun comes in and whether the unit is still free. They don’t have to call. They don’t have to wait for a WhatsApp reply. They don’t have to trust a price list that may be old.
This already exists. Zunit does it today for developments in Brazil and Norway. And it isn’t only for luxury homes. It works for any development, at any price.
Why it works
When buyers can see everything without asking, three people win at the same time:
- The buyer: looks calmly, at their own pace, without having to ask. When they call the team, they already know what they want.
- The agent: the contact arrives with the unit already chosen. The talk starts with “when would you like to visit the show home?”, not with “what are you looking for?”.
- The developer: buyers who have already chosen a unit close faster. The team spends less time answering “is this one still free?” and more time with people who are close to buying.
In the end, sales move faster. And the team spends its energy where it matters.
What still happens in many developments
In many developments, the list of units is still passed around on WhatsApp. Sometimes there is a PDF on the website. The buyer has to download it. Often, it is already old when it arrives. And the buyer still has to call to ask if unit 302 is really free.
Nobody does this out of carelessness. For a long time, there was no simple way to show everything online, linked to the sales system the team already uses.
Why it’s changing now
Buyers don’t compare buying a home with buying another home. They compare it with the last thing they bought online. For a flight, they pick the seat. For a new car, they build the model on the brand’s website. For a new home, they get a PDF and wait.
When that happens, the buyer doesn’t complain. But they feel the company is behind. And that feeling counts when it’s time to decide.
Whoever changes first gets ahead
When a market changes, whoever changes first wins more. Not because they have more money. Because they become the example. Everyone else gets compared with them.
Showing units online will stop being new and become normal. The developers who do it first will have a head start that is hard to catch up with.
